Angling Times (UK) - - WHERE TO FISH -

Bag‘em Matchbaits and Middy star Jordan Hall says: Tackle: Use floats that will remain stable yet indicate every single bite. On the long pole line a Middy 4x14 Carp Grey Series 2 is ideal, while a 4x12 Styrex Series 1 is slightly more robust and better for work in shallower water close in. Baits: Take around four pints of casters with you and feed little and often. Don’t worry about feeding in exactly the same spot – spreading the bait slightly can stop the fish from congregating too tightly and giving false indications. Add a few squirts of Bag‘em Matchbaits Commercial Carp liquid to your casters. Tactics: Start on the long pole line, regularly firing 10 casters over the top. Start at dead depth and resist the temptation to come shallow if you want to catch big skimmers and barbel. Feed a short line.
