Angling Times (UK) - - WHERE TO FISH SOUTH -

LOWER Lake is the place to be for a 50lb bag of carp as hundreds of fish in the 2lb-4lb barrier reside here. The pegs facing the island are very good in the summer – particularly on the pole with meat, worm or corn on the hook.

Those fishing worm next to the overhanging trees can also expect the odd tench or big perch to 3lb. Rainbow trout used to be stocked in this lake and there are a few ‘monsters’ still lurking around which like maggots.
