PREPARING MICRO PELLETS

Angling Times (UK) - - TIPS & TACTICS -

RATHER than use the traditional soaking process, I prepare micro pellets just like groundbait, adding a small amount of water at a time so that they soak it up evenly. This stops the pellets from going too mushy and sticking to the feeder.

1

Tip as many pellets as you need for a session into a shallow, flatbottomed groundbait bowl.

2

Add a sprinkling of water (preferably lake water from the venue you are fishing) and mix vigorously so they are evenly moistened.

3

After a few minutes, add more water, and repeat the process until the pellets stick together when squeezed.

4

If you want the pellets to bind together better, just add a sprinkling of groundbait to the damp pellets.
