Steve won with 81-6-0 of chub from a peg at Brein­ton, where he fished wag­gler and mag­got tight across to a far-bank glide. Paul, on Eign, fished block­end feeder with hemp and caster for 74-8-0 of chub and bar­bel to fin­ish sec­ond.

A new record for this event was set by Steve Ma­her as the Sen­sas WB Clarke found 10 bar­bel plus a lone bream from peg 83 for 69-8-0 on long pole and caster. Run­ner-up and team-mate Ian Win­ter, on peg 58, was sec­ond with 28-0-0 of chub on wag­gler and mag­got.

Qual­i­fiers from across the spring and sum­mer lined up for this two-day fi­nal, and af­ter a poor first day Nathan Moore rock­eted into top spot to take the £1,000 first prize with an ag­gre­gate weight of 107-2-0. Sec­ond was Stew­art Bracey on 101-10-0. Stew­art won day one with 76-3-0 of carp to 12lb, plus F1s, from peg 69, fish­ing cat­meat and corn at 14.5m. Nathan took day two with 101-11-0 of carp and F1s on corn and cat­meat at 13m from peg 22.

Three late bream se­cured the ti­tle for Sen­sas man Dar­ran Bick­er­ton. Added to 5lb of small fish, they gave him 16-15-0 and the £300 first prize. He fished ground­bait feeder with worm and mag­got at peg 84. Run­ner-up Ja­son Scrivener had 10-10-0 of mainly perch on chopped worm and caster at 9m.
