The mighty Ijs­sel once again hosted Brits and Dutch an­glers for this six-day marathon, and at the end of it one man recorded a per­fect 60 point sec­tion score to take the £1,000 first prize, Tri-Cast Calder’s Steve Michaels led the way, sec­ond go­ing to Del­cac man Kevin Dyer on 59 points, Kevin got the nod by virtue of hav­ing a bet­ter dropped re­sult than Kev Humphreys in third, who also scored 59. Kevin took the best weight of the week, 71-14-0 of bream, bar­bel, roach and ide, us­ing ground­bait feeder with worm and mag­got.

Re­sult: 1 S Michaels, Tri-Cast Calder, 60pts; 2 K Dyer, Pre­ston In­no­va­tions Del­cac, 59 (bet­ter dropped score); 3 K Humphreys, Daiwa An­gling Di­rect, 59; 4 G Hub­bard, Daiwa An­gling Di­rect, 58 (bet­ter dropped score); 5 B Klu­un­hann, Zwolle, 58.
