A FULL house was treated to a low and clear river and, as a re­sult, no big weights were taken across the three days – al­though the lead­ing re­turns were still good.

KL Tackle-backed Steve Newns lifted the tro­phy with six points, de­spite not fea­tur­ing in the top six on any of the three matches.

His high­light was un­doubt­edly a mon­ster 4lb 8oz perch on day two that he had to go into the river and re­trieve af­ter it snagged him up!

Day one win­ner Fred Prud­ham had 15-0-0 of roach

and perch on stick float, wag­gler and mag­got from Sher­ratt’s.

Steve San­ders took day two with 13-10-0 of roach and dace on pole and mag­got from Fer­ry­bridge.

Mean­while, Tony Mar­shall took day three with 15-12-0 of roach on Bolo-fished mag­got at Shard­low.
