This venue, widely con­sid­ered to be Scot­land’s finest sil­ver­fish water, lived up to its rep­u­ta­tion as masses of roach and skim­mers were brought to the scales. Win­ner at the end of the three days was Paul Clib­burn with a 65-0-0 to­tal. The first two days had gone steadily for the Wi­gan an­gler. On day three, he took the ti­tle on the ground­bait feeder with 30-10-0 of bream. Sec­ond-placed Mike Shaw was on his heels with 62-0-0.

Re­sult, Day One: 1 K Gard­ner, 32-0-0; 2 M Shaw, 25-4-0; 3 J Rogers, 22-8-0.

Day Two: 1 S Pendle­bury, 40-8-0; 2 J Hines, 31-10-0; 3 M Stephens, 31-2-0.

Day Three: 1 P Clib­burn, 30-10-0; 2 P Mur­phy, 20-10-0;

3 M Shaw, 19-14-0.

Over­all: 1 P Clib­burn, 65-0-0; 2 M Shaw, 62-0-0; 3 K Gard­ner, 61-4-0; 4 J Hines, 59-8-0; 5 M Stephens, 58-12-0; 6 S Pendle­bury, 58-6-0.
