STEVE FITZPATRICK EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
IHAVE to agree with Steve Ringer’s comments in his exclusive column this week, where he says this is a fantastic time of year for fishing. There is so much variety on offer right now – the carp are having a real munch before the colder weather arrives, barbel are feeding well, while the rivers and stillwaters are alive with roach, skimmers and bream.
Reports of some massive perch are already filtering into the Angling Times offices, and the predator season hasn’t even kicked in properly yet!
Anyone thinking about putting their tackle away in the next few weeks must be mad!
Talking of variety, Martin Bowler has been filling his boots with all manner of fish from some great locations, and his column this week gives us all a glimpse into what it’s like to be a true all-round angler. It’s really inspiring stuff.
So what are you planning? If you’re not sure what to go for, or where to head, then our Where to Fish and Match Results sections can put you directly on the swims where the fish are on the feed.
We’ve got two new additions to the mag this week as well – Tommy Pickering’s new Tip of the Week column and the In the Swim feature which goes below the surface to reveal how you can get the best out of your next peg. Whatever you choose to do, enjoy your fishing…
