WHAT TO SPOT NOW

SYCAMORE SEEDS

NOW is the time you’ll see leaves and seeds blowing in the wind. The sycamore seed is shaped like a wing to assist it to travel some distance from the mother tree.

CONKER TREE

WHEN conkers start to fall in my garden I know it’s time to dust off my pike and perch gear... and they’re falling right now.

SLUGS

SUDDENLY they are everywhere on the bank, both large and small. Some anglers use them as bait for chub, but to be honest I am not a lover of the slime on my hands. I think I shall stick with boilies!
