STORMING WIN IN FIVE-DAY FESTIVAL
THERE were some huge weights taken during a memorable week at the complex, and at the end of the tournament it was Mark Lidgard who scooped glory and the £1,000 cash prize.
The venue regular managed to win his section three times and topped those victories up with a second and third in zone to put together an untouchable score of eight points.
Lots of big carp had shown during the five-day event, but Mark made sure of the win by putting on an astonishing display of silverfish bagging, netting 131-1-0 of mainly crucians from Islands Pond to win his section by less than 1lb!
Second overall was Keith Easton, who finished on nine points. Chris Mack finished just shy of the framing places on 11 points.
