Martin Bowler has a busy week in search of chub, carp, mullet and bream!

I never get bored with so many different fish to catch

Angling Times (UK) - - WELCOME -

WE are truly blessed in the British Isles in being able to enjoy angling that is both rich and diverse.

Nowhere else will you have the chance of so many adventures over a small area and while I can never complete them all, I intend to have a good go trying!

A single-species angler has the benefit of becoming an expert, and I do understand the appeal of focusing on a venue for a long time to build up an intimate knowledge of its moods. However, this comes at a cost of memories and that’s not a sacrifice I’m prepared to make.

Every trip for me is special. Matching the fish to the conditions means I never hit the doldrums, My biggest problem is how to fit it all in, and a week with me can be a hectic affair…
