OVERHANGING VEGETATION

Angling Times (UK) - - SOUTH -

BE it tree branches or brambles, overhanging vegetation will attract perch to the area.

This type of cover is likely to have food on it that will drop into the water, and this will lead to fish regularly visiting these spots to look for their next meal.

Try to work out how far the vegetation extends underwater into the canal or you could find yourself getting snagged constantly on the retrieve. You don’t want to end up having to buy more lures than you anticipated on your next trip to the tackle shop!
