Tommy Pickering helped me put lead in my casting pencil
I FISH a club water where the fish seem intent on patrolling the island for most of the day. They will happily feed – but only if you stick your feeder right on top of them! It’s a good 50-yard chuck, and most of the time I fall short.
But last week I was browsing through Angling Times and had a read of Tommy Pickering’s tip on adding extra yards to your cast.
I followed his advice to the letter and lo and behold, success!
I’d be lying if I said every cast lands spot-on but I reckon over half do now – a big improvement on my previous performance. Tom Pearce, Colwyn Bay
