So much tackle and such amazing value

Angling Times (UK) - - YOUR FISHING WEEK -

MY SON would like a new float rod for Christmas so I thought I’d get in early and start looking at the latest kit to get a good deal.

Our household hasn’t had much new tackle for a while and I couldn’t believe the variety on offer out there.

When I was younger it used to be one or two manufacturers that took your eye with the kit they had on sale, but I must have come across rods that I am seriously considering buying from seven or eight different companies.

Once I was in the tackle shop and sampling the rods that were on display my decision didn’t get any easier, as all my potential purchases seemed excellent!

The other element that impressed me was the variances in pricing. It doesn’t matter whether you have a few quid to spend or are working on a budget, there are plenty of quality items available.

The tackle trade seems to be working extremely hard to impress anglers, and that can only be a good thing for those of us in the market for new kit.
