This carp pulled my string on match gear!

I RECENTLY had my first carp session of the year at Willowcroft Fishery near Wisbech. I used the Method feeder with pellets and meat on the hook.

My first fish of the day was a carp just under 8lb, and after several other similar-sized fish I latched into something much heavier.

It took 15 minutes to get in and on the scales it went 26lb 2oz – my best-ever carp on match tackle. Derek Hammond, Spalding
