Tommy Pickering How to tie the perfect hooklength – all is revealed!

Angling Times (UK) - - WELCOME -

I’D always recommend spade end hooks for pole and general floatfishing. They feature a small spade at the end of the shank, not a large eye, so they weigh less and offer fantastic presentation. You’ll need line, hooks and a hook-tyer.

To begin with the line MUST be held tight by putting some kind of weight on top of the spool or by trapping the spool between your knees.
