Angling Times (UK) - - WELCOME -

WE MAY be in the throes of autumn, but it’s not too late to get out there and take a friend fishing this month. October sees the last of three Take a Friend Fishing (TAFF) campaigns for 2016, a scheme created to encourage parents, grandparents, guardians and friends to enjoy fishing with family members and friends who have not fished before – completely free of charge.

Run by the Angling Trades Association, the scheme is supported by the Environment Agency, which provides free one-day fishing licences for those taking part. The free rod licence can be used at any venue across the UK and to make your day even cheaper, participants can also fish without charge at the selected number of Angling Trust member venues and club waters listed on the website: www. takeafriendfishing.co.uk

It’s easy to participate – cut out or print off the rod licence voucher, fill in your contact details, validate it on the website, read the Terms and Conditions, grab your fishing tackle and the voucher, and go fishing with a family member or a friend.

It’s an offer you mustn’t miss!

Young people are the future of angling.
