Angling Times (UK) - - WHERE TO FISH -

The Rosie local expert James Davies says: Tackle: “It pays to fish fairly fine if you want to get bites from everything that swims. I’ll use 0.14mm mainline to either a 0.12mm or 0.10mm hooklength and a size 16 hook. Use a Pulla Bung to help steer bigger fish away from the nearside features.”

Bait: “Maggots are great as they allow you to catch both carp and quality silverfish. Feed a few 2mm and 4mm pellets over the top, though, as these tempt the bigger specimens to root around.”

Tactics: “Three lines of attack will cover all options – a short line at the end of the lilies, long on the pole at about 13m and the waggler to the island or into open water for the silvers. Rotate these and the bites will keep coming.”
