Pellet hookbait fools Avon giant

THE Hampshire Avon proved again why it’s one of the finest big chub venues in the UK by producing this 7lb 11oz personal best for Jim McKeown.

The former tackle dealer from Fordingbridge used simple groundbait feeder tactics and a 10mm pellet hookbait to land the fish during a session at Redbrook. The specimen beats Jim’s previous best for the species by 15oz, and was beaten with a size 10 hook.
