IF I had to put my house on a man to catch me a roach, I’d definitely pick four-times World Champ Bob Nudd. What he doesn’t know about catching big bags of redfins is probably not worth knowing, and this week he spills the beans on his latest approaches.
You’d think that after spending months in Ireland catching roach and hybrids Bob might be tiring of them when it comes to autumn, but he revealed that this is his favourite time of year – a few years ago he even moved house to be closer to the venues where roach pack into through the colder months!
Check out our tips-packed feature from our day on the bank with him on pages 36 to 39.
There’s another famous ‘Bob’ who features in Angling Times this week – fly fishing legend Bob Church.
Last week saw a huge tackle auction of Bob’s gear and there were thousands of anglers from across the globe bidding on the unique items. For those lucky enough to submit winning bids, congratulations on grabbing a slice of fishing history. For those who could make it, or were outbid, don’t worry, Bob has agreed to give a unique rod away in an exclusive Angling Times reader competition this week. Read the full story of the day on pages 8&9.
