WELCOME

TUESDAY NOVEMBER 8 2016

Angling Times (UK) - - WELCOME - STEVE FITZPATRICK EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

HAVE you been impressed by a new item of tackle or bait range this year? Are you proud of your local river or stillwater? Who has taken the best catch of fish, or won the best matches?

This week the search begins to find the Best of 2016 as Angling Times reveals the contenders in this year’s National Angling Awards – and we need you to get voting!

There are 30 categories this year and it’s been a tough task to narrow down a shortlist of potential winners for each. Thankfully, it’s you who will pick the overall champions!

This really has been a fantastic year for fishing, with record fish, big-river and lake catches, massive money matches, and launches of impressive gear which not only help us catch more, but make our sport a lot more fun, too.

Turn to our launch story on pages 8&9 this week to see how to register your votes, and how you can win a share of £400 worth of tackle vouchers, too. Talking of tackle, it’s time to take a look at what you’re fishing with right now as with the weather getting cooler a few little tweaks can make a massive difference to your catches. Our experts – Martin Bowler, Steve Ringer, Paul Garner, and Dave Harrell – all have great little edges in their exclusive columns this week. If you follow their advice you’re guaranteed to catch more fish.
