1 Always add water from the river to the dry groundbait in a wide bowl, like this. 2 Add water and mix vigorously. Leave to stand, then add more – you’ll need to. 3 Next, add some molehill soil. This helps bind the mix and makes it sink faster. 4 Add some particles, but not too many. Casters and hempseed are favourites. 5 Ready for feeding, the ball should hold together well without being too wet.
