Roach are marching into town

WITH the cooler weather the silverfish have started to pack into the town centre stretches of the Old River Nene in March, Cambridgeshire.
This venue can offer pleasure anglers some of the best river roach fishing in the country under the right conditions, and a pretty substantial net of fish even when it’s hard.
There are two sections to fish – the town centre, which is free, and on the outskirts of the town by the bypass, available on a day ticket through March District Anglers.
