THERE is noth­ing worse than repet­i­tive cast­ing in the cold! It spooks fish and, if you keep it up, it will push them out of your swim.

That means it’s vi­tal that when cast­ing the feeder lands just where you want it ev­ery time.

When re­cast­ing, make sure that you put plenty of thought into where that cast is go­ing. Then cast with pur­pose so that the feeder gets there with ease!

The same prin­ci­ple ap­plies at the start of a match – cast­ing a bomb around scares fish. I love it when those around me cast out at the start to clip up. All they are do­ing is driv­ing fish into my quiet swim!
