Modern Worsbrough remains a great fishery
LAST week’s article on Worsbrough Reservoir certainly whetted my appetite for another session on there!
Back in the early 1990s it was probably the best silverfish water in the land. You could catch 50lb of bream on the feeder or winkle out 20lb of roach on the pole.
You’d need plenty of skill and tactical knowledge to put together such nets.
The fishing was good all year round – you’d simply follow the fish down the reservoir into the deeper water as the temperatures dropped!
Things may have changed over the years but it seems the ‘new’ Worsbrough is every bit as impressive as I remember.
