3 THE chub an­gler’s favourite. Liq­uidised white bread is a top chub feed in clear wa­ter con­di­tions, topped off with a lump of flake on the hook. Use a medi­um­sized grip feeder and com­press the finely liq­uidised bread to hold it in place. Once in the river the bread will quickly ab­sorb wa­ter and ex­pand, cre­at­ing a stream of fine par­ti­cles that are car­ried down­stream.

If roach are also present I will add a hand­ful of crushed hemp to the liq­uidised bread to give it ex­tra ap­peal. A few 4mm pel­lets can also be added if the fish are used to see­ing a lot of this bait.
