Angling Times (UK) - - TIPS & TACTICS -

9 WHEN deadbaiting for pike I have tried lots of different tactics to attract more fish into the swim.

Using a feeder filled with chopped fish releases much more attraction into the water and can be particularly effective in rivers, where the scent is quickly dispersed downstream by the current. I normally change my bait every cast so I roughly chop up used baits and put the bits in the feeder for a plentiful supply of feed at no extra cost.
