ONE fishery that has gone from strength to strength has to be Sheffield’s Aston Park Fishery. It has consistently provided matchmen and pleasure anglers with fantastic mixed nets of fish.
Butts Lake has been the pick of the bunch, but nets between 20lb and 80lb have been showing from pegs all around the complex.
A 79lb 6oz bag of quality roach, big ide, carp and F1s fell to an angler fishing off peg 16 in a recent Wednesday open match to pellet fished tight to the far bank and maggot short at 6m and on the deck.
