Mick Ward won a recent open match on Butts Lake by taking just shy of 70lb of silvers and carp. He caught the majority of the silvers shallow at 7m on maggot, then carp on meat late on via the pole on a top-2. Runnersup also finished with respectable weights in the 60lb bracket, made up of mostly ide and carp, by fishing maggot shallow and soft pellets tight over.
