POWER-FUL DISPLAY IN WHITE ACRES FESTIVAL

Andy’s weights prove the decider in this nailbiter contest as the top two score the same points

White Acres Holiday Park (180 pegs) FORMER UK champion Andy Power took this second festival of the season after scoring a perfect 36 points.

It needed weight to separate him from Mikey Williams after both men finished on the same points and with the same discarded section score. Andy began with a section win from peg 79 at Porth Reservoir. He took 12-1-0 of roach and skimmers on the waggler.

Day two and Bolingey Lake peg 38 gave him another nine points with 227-12-0 of carp on meat to win the lake.

Wednesday produced 77-2-0 of carp from Pollawyn Lake peg 12 for another section maximum.

Thursday saw a blip with second in section from the split Twin Oaks and Trelawney zone before he bagged another nine points thanks to a lake win with 120-10-0 of carp and F1s on Trewaters peg 51. He fished pellet feeder and long pole and pellet.
