SCHOOLBOY Ewan Walker showed the potential of canals for big fish when he slipped the net under this cracking 2lb 13oz perch.

The London youngster was lure fishing on his local Grand Union Canal when the monster specimen took a liking for his Fox Micro Fry. The fish was the biggest of three specimens Ewan landed during the short afternoon session.
