NO FEWER than seven of this week’s Clubman winners took more than 100lb to the scales, topped by an enormous 276lb from SSP Tyler’s Common.

That busy angler was Bob Edwards, who used pole and pellet to win his Lee Green AS contest. Not far behind in a Mocatra AS match was Tony Westgarth, who topped the field with 250-8-0 from the prolific Arran’s Lake in Essex.

Other ton-up hauls fell at Hall Lane Fishery, Rolf’s Lake, Horseshoe at Decoy, Narborough and Sixfields.

Prize-winning silver fish weight this week was the 30-4-0 of skimmers that were enough to win the Ron’s Rovers AC match at Newbridge Lake – and we can expect to see more weights like this soon.
