First round draw!
Supercup first-round opponents now know who they’ll be fishing against
THE wait is finally over. The Angling Times/ Bait-Tech Clubman Supercup 2018 first round draw has been made, and this week we can reveal all the details.
As the competition enters its 18th year, taking their first Supercup steps in 2018 are Greeny’s Gobblers, Leigh Tackle & Bait, Leigh Tackle & Bait Manchester and Hooks 2 Go in the North, Tackle & Bates, Rookery Waters, Lake Snakes and Nothing Serious in the Midlands and Carpenter’s Lake Fishery in the South.
HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
The home team will have the choice of venue for the first round match but everything else must be agreed by all parties concerned. All first round ties must be fished over the weekend of Saturday, April 14 and Sunday April, 15. Each home-drawn side will receive a Clubman report card in the post shortly for them to send in the result to us.
Please contact your opponents as soon as possible to allow the maximum amount of practice time, and do note that an extension to the fishing dates can be granted only if severe weather cancels the original tie – no other reason.
If you’re a home-drawn team then you will shortly receive a letter from Angling Times giving contact details of your opponent or opponents.
You will then be expected to contact each team and start arranging the details of your match as soon as possible. If you are an away team, just sit tight and await that phone call.
