Canal diary starts with a 50-pegger

THE Norman Chenoweth Memorial is the first open match of the year on the Bottesford-controlled stretch of the Grantham Canal. The big match takes place on Sunday, April 8 with places limited to 50 pegs to allow the best areas to be used.

The draw takes place at 9am at the Gap Inn, Muston (breakfasts available from 8am), with fishing from 10.30am until 3.30pm, followed by the presentation and raffle at the Gap afterwards.
