The most important features of the reel line are its abrasion-resistance and an ability to cope with casting heavy feeders without showing any spiralling or other signs of wear. I use Korum Xpert reel line, which is superdurable, and generally I spool up with 12lb breaking strain. This might sound heavy, but you’ll be glad of it when you’re fishing big feeders for big fish.
