Angling Times (UK) - - WHERE TO FISH -

“This is our specimen carp lake, which has eight swims, and a limit of four anglers at any one time. In the lake are 150 doubles averaging 16lb, to a best of 30lb.

“Most people use a standard carp approach, legering boilies and pellets – running rigs are essential, with a strong mainline of 12lb-15lb. Many people target the island, but if you sit back from your swim the margins are a magnet for fish.

“There aren’t any set pegs as such – you can fish from wherever you like, which suits stalking. My only proviso is that you mind the wildlife, as that comes first.

“There are also bream and perch, along with some very large roach which aren’t often targeted.”
