BLUEBELL LAKES, PETERBOROUGH, CAMBS

Angling Times (UK) - - WHERE TO FISH -

As the former home of Benson, one of Britain’s bestknown carp, Bluebell has earned its place as a truly legendary carp fishing complex. All the lakes on site hold fish to over 30lb, the two jewels in the crown being Swan and Kingfisher, which contain multiple 40lb and even 50lb specimens. To get among the fish on Kingfisher currently, it’s best to fish for a bite at a time. A small tight handful of pellets, particles or a light spread of 10mm boilies on clear marginal areas has been tempting fish to over 30lb. The fish in Kingfisher also love to spend time on the surface, and patient feeding with dog biscuits can encourage them to take. For those after silvers, Bluebell Lake boasts roach to over 2lb and some large bream. If you prefer flowing water, try Willow Creek which twists through the complex – it is home to chub over 6lb. Contact: 01832 226042 Postcode: PE8 5HP
