KAMASAN MATCHMAN OF THE YEAR 1989 AND 1992
I DON’T think there will ever be such an incredible end to an individual competition as there was in 1989. That was when Paul Newell and I battled it out until the final day to decide who won the Kamasan Matchman of the Year crown.
We’d been running neck and neck for months on end, but Paul’s luck ran out on the final weekend and mine, as it turned out, was in.
A win on the last day of the season secured top spot for me. 1992 was a lot less stressful!
Trophies galore in 1992!
