A TREMENDOUS £936 was raised for the cancer ward of Nottingham City Hospital after this annual event, held in memory of larger-than-life late Trent legend Frank.

Controlling clubs Coors AC, Burton Mutual and Ferrybridge AC donated the peg fees, and with handsome prizes from

several tackle companies, it was a good day all-round.

On the fishing front, river ace Tony Marshall led the way with 29-8-0 of roach and dace.

The Shakespeare man drew on the golf course section and fished caster over groundbait at 14m for his mixed net of silvers.

Cadence rod Andy Dixon was next from the same area with 20-4-0 of roach and dace. He too used groundbait and caster or maggot on the long pole.
