THE historic village of Lacock is well worth exploring, as is the Abbey itself. Its woodland grounds are great for dog walks and picnics.

The Abbey Museum is particularly interesting, and celebrates the achievements of former resident William Henry Fox Talbot, who made significant contributions in the invention of photography.
