Is this a special enough occasion?
IT WAS with no great confidence Inveraray man Kenny Stark believed the cork would stay in the bottle.
When Inveraray were promoted to grade one in 2010, he made the somewhat rash promise that he would crack open his bottle of 25-yearold Macallan for a special occasion – when Inveraray won the world title. True to his word, Kenny produced the £600 bottle last Sunday for the band’s triumphant return with the trophy.
‘I said it would be opened for a special occasion, and I think this is it,’ said Kenny, who reckons the drams he was pouring band members would be £15 a nip.
Kenny pours a well-deserved dram for Stuart Liddell – even at £15 per nip.
