Wings of love at Kilmory
BUTTERFLIES will be released in Lochgilphead to remember children and babies who have died.
The event is hosted by Simpson’s Memory Box Appeal (SiMBA) and will take place tomorrow (Saturday September 2) in Kilmory Castle gardens.
Following the event there will be a buffet at the Stag Hotel on Argyll Street, Lochgilphead.
Highland ambassador for the charity Susan Simpson said the butterfly release was a poignant way to remember babies and children who are no longer here.
Susan said: ‘As Highland ambassador, I’m honoured to be joining the team and the families on their special day.
‘These events are so beautifully poignant for bereaved families, giving parents, grandparents, siblings and friends the chance to come together in mutual support and understanding.
‘As the butterflies take to the wing they carry with them the love and care of every family member releasing and they are such a lovely way to honour the memory of the children we could not watch grow up.’
