New location for Tarbert festivities a success

Argyllshire Advertiser - - LEISURE -

TARBERT’S bonfire and fireworks’ display took place in a new location this year, with the local firefighters organising the fireworks thanks to funding from the Corner House pub.

The festivities took place on Friday November 3 at the outdoor gym and beilding area, with entertainment from Loch Fyne Pipe Band and refreshments provided by the village hall committee.

Aggie Dennis from Tarbert fireworks’ committee said: ‘We think the new venue was a success.

‘Many thanks to Donald, Jamie and Becky from Tarbert Harbour for the use of the beilding and outdoor gym area and for transport to and from the beilding.

‘Thanks to the Coastguard for portable lighting and being on hand, and thanks to Loch Fyne Pipe Band for the entertainment, especially Highland Cathedral.’
