Athletics Weekly - - Performance -

A THREE-HOUR jumps workshop for coaches and athletes will look at common faults faced when coaching the horizontal jumps.

Led by Guy Spencer, a jumps coach for two decades who has guided 10 athletes to triple jump further than 15m, the session will include both theory and practical elements of jumping.

The workshop, which costs £20, will be held on September 14 at the David Weir Leisure Centre in Carshalton, Surrey and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each of the 10 coaches attending can bring an athlete with them. Closing date for applications is September 21 and anyone interested in attending should contact zweeks@englandathletics. org for more information.
