HENRY’S FINE FINISH
THERE was a British one-two in the 100m, as Desiree Henry ran 11.61 (-1.4) ahead of her world silver medal-winning GB 4x100m team-mate Asha Philip with 11.65.
Despite having been managing pain caused by cysts behind each of her knees (see News, p19) Henry was able to help secure that relay silver and also reach the semi-finals of the individual 100m.
Now her focus is on returning next year fit and healthy, with the European Championships a definite aim and other plans yet to be decided with her coach, Rana Reider.
