STEVE WAY produced the best performance by a British runner at the Comrades Marathon last weekend since Mick Orton of Tipton Harriers won the race back in 1972.

The historic 56-mile race this year took place on the ‘down’ course from Pietermaritzburg to Durban, with an entry field of 21,273 taking on the challenge.
