257bhp GSI to lead Insignia range
VAUXHALL has introduced a new flagship GSI model to the Insignia range featuring chassis tweaks, a new 257bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and four-wheel drive.
Set to debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, the performancebased Insignia has been developed at the Nürburgring in Germany.
A unique suspension set-up has been added, comprising 10mm shorter springs and specially developed shock absorbers to reduce body roll.
Brembo brakes, optional 20-inch alloy wheels and sticky Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres feature, alongside a torque-vectoring system on the rear axle, which is able to accelerate each rear wheel individually.
Unique sports seats, a flat-bottomed steering wheel and GSI badging add some racy appeal to the interior.
