And Fastback offers another sporty option for i30 line-up
HYUNDAI has added a fourth model to the new i30 range with the introduction of the Fastback, which arrives in dealerships in early 2018.
The Fastback stands out from the regular i30 hatch and new Tourer estate due to its sleeker five-door coupé body. It fills the gap vacated by the previous three-door hatch.
There are also chassis and suspension tweaks, in a bid to pair the sportier looks with more agile handling. It sits 5mm lower to the ground, and the suspension has been stiffened by 15 per cent.
It will launch with either 138bhp 1.4-litre T-GDI or 118bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engines. A 1.6-litre diesel with either 109bhp or 128bhp on tap will arrive later, while a hot N version is also in the works for 2019 with around 300bhp.
