Our guide to which trim level might suit you

THERE are only two main trim levels that the D5 Powerpulse engine is available with: R-design, as tested here, and Inscription.

With our example Personal Contract Purchase quote, which is based on a £5,000 deposit over a 36-month contract limited to 10,000 miles a year, the R-design costs £580 a month. You get the 12.3-inch Active TFT driver’s info display as standard, plus 19-inch alloys, sports seats and sports suspension.

The R-design Pro variant adds a heated steering wheel, Volvo’s On Call concierge service and air suspension for £666 a month.

The Inscription model is more focused on luxury than sportiness, but also gets the 12.3-inch display and 19-inch wheels. It costs £618 a month, with the Inscription Pro version setting you back £670 a month and adding On Call and 20-inch alloys.
