VAUXHALL GRANDLAND X
JUST as the Crossland X is based on Peugeot’s 2008, so the Grandland X takes its platform and engines from the 3008. The result is a more conservatively styled family SUV for those who find the French model too extreme.
Light controls and noticeable body roll don’t exactly mark the Vauxhall out as a driver’s car. But it fights back with one of the class’s largest boots, plus an intuitive infotainment system, respectable ride quality and a strong and frugal range of petrol and diesel engines.
